Samsung will soon release new features for its Galaxy Watch line and Galaxy Buds2 Pro.

To improve the photographic experience on a few Samsung Galaxy smartphone models, Samsung has released a new software update for its Galaxy Buds2 Pro wireless earbuds and Galaxy Watch series smartwatches. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro would receive a 360-degree audio recording function as well as camera control for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series smartwatches as part of the upgrade. The Galaxy Watch series upgrade will be accessible starting in February, and the update for the wireless earbuds will go out gradually. The details are as follows:

Audio recording in 360°

While making videos on their Samsung Galaxy smartphones, users will be able to record 360-degree audio utilising the microphones built into each of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro earbuds. According to Samsung, the new capability would enable users to record audio exactly as they hear it. The business claims that customers may record realistic audio for video using only the Galaxy Buds2 Pro headphones.

The first function in the Galaxy range to use the Bluetooth LE Audio standard is the 360-degree audio recording. It would result in enhanced battery life, latency, and audio quality. Binaural recording is made possible on the Galaxy Buds2 Pro by the LE Audio by simultaneously utilising the left and right microphones. When connected to a Galaxy smartphone running One UI 5.0 or higher with LE Audio compatibility, such as the Galaxy Z Flip4, Z Fold4, and the next Galaxy smartphones, this capability will be available on Galaxy Buds2 Pro.

Go to the Samsung Camera app and touch on the camera settings to turn on the feature. Tap advanced video options in the video mode to enable 360-degree audio recording.

Camera Controller

The camera controller app would allow users to remotely control the camera on their Samsung smartphone from their wrist. The Galaxy Watch5 and Watch4 series' camera controller would have zoom capabilities with the upcoming version. With a pinch on the watch's screen or a spin of the rotating bezel, users can remotely zoom in or out. When coupled with a Galaxy smartphone running One UI 5.1 or higher and with Camera Controller app compatibility, this feature will be available on Galaxy Watch5, Watch5 Pro, Watch4, and Watch4 Classic.
