The Device Identification Registration and Blocking Systems were successfully used by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to block 175,000 devices (DIRBS) The local market has been cleared of false and subpar handsets thanks to a system that PTA built to detect and block duplicate or cloned IMEI digits. include smuggled mobile phones and devices using the network that are not GSMA-approved.
